Social Lets

As a social letting agency we operate our business in a similar way to a high street letting agent, in that it offers tenancies under an AST (assured shorthold tenancy). The difference under social lets is that, as we lease the properties from our landlords’ the AST is between Luton Lets Squared and the tenant, not the landlord.

A social letting agency has a different philosophy to that of a high street letting agent with unique drives, aims and objectives, offering unrivalled landlord USP’s (unique selling points) including:

  • Not charging tenants for the service, making it accessible for those on low or no income.
  • Specifically targeting individuals and groups who would not normally be able to use a high street letting agent (owing to deposit costs and referencing ) – this tends to be a large percentage of those already homeless and living in temporary accommodation.
  • Not making a profit from housing those threatened with homelessness.
  • Increasing property conditions, to high lettable and management standards.

If you are looking for the continuity of rents with no void periods coupled with working with a professional, trustworthy and transparent team, then Luton Lets Squared could be just what you are looking for. With the strength and support of Luton Borough Council and Squared behind us, our service is unique.
